There Are Always Relationship Problems That Have To Be Dealt With

It's always something.

If it's not one set of relationship problems, it's another. One minute things are going great, and then there is an unexpected failure of the equipment. Women just don't understand that these things do not always work as planned, especially as men get a little older. In our heyday, we can get it up if the wind blows the right way. Not so when you start hitting the mid-30s, let me tell you. In any case, this is just one of the many things that can derail a relationship (as she invariably blames herself, and you get all defensive, and so on and so forth). But there are tons of things that can go wrong, many of which are quite emotional and much more complex.

For example, what if one of you has to take a job in another city and a long distance relationship is the only way you can stay together? Are you going to be able to take on the added responsibility of being there for each other while in different places? The problems with long distance relationships often make the equipment failures we discussed seem like a really fun time.
Or, what about simpler, yet equally troubling occurrences such as spending too much time at work. Sometimes jobs get in the way of our lives and lead to relationship problems, even if the intentions of one or both people are good. We all want to be a success professionally and we need money to survive. How to make time? Where to draw that line?
Then, say you decide to spice things up by suggesting a manage a trois. That could lead to problems if your offer is taken the wrong way, or if your partner decides she wants these relationships to become a regular thing and you don't, or if someone clandestinely films one of the tawdry escapades and blackmails you for money. That could get extremely ugly.

Bottom line? You are always going to encounter relationship problems of some kind. Just stick together and make it work out by being there for one another. Divided you will fall. United you may very well stand... the test of time.
